Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Living and Learning Volunteer. We hope this will help to answer some of your questions about who we are, what we do and how you can play an important part in our organisation.  We have positions available in the following areas :

  Administration
  Gardening
  Op Shop Assistant
  Maintenance
  Committee of Management
  Tutoring
  Special Projects

As a Volunteer you will be working with both paid and unpaid staff for the benefit of our local community, either in the Centre or in the East End Op Shop.

Our Volunteer Co-ordinator will carefully match your interests, experience and skills to the most appropriate position for you.

We have a three month trial period so that you can decide whether we are suited to each other and we offer ongoing training in the skills required to assist in our staff organisation.

You can either work for your own satisfaction or, as we are an approved agency for Centrelink, we can help people who are on a mutual obligation scheme, providing you with an opportunity to develop your skills and help your transition back into the work force.
