Janet
Goodwin - President |
|
Janet has a
long association with the Centre, both as a Volunteer
and a teacher. She is a carer by profession, and an
experienced fundraiser for the Centre. Janet has served
on the Committee of Management for seven years. For four
of those years she has held the position of President.
Janet is retiring as President this year and we thank
her for her service. |

Ken White -
Vice President |

Ken has been
described as a ‘Jack of All Trades”, having had many
careers in his life, but the past few years has seen him
combine his love for music with teaching young people in
VCAL. Ken is a well-known and acclaimed musician whose
involvement in community work over the last thirty years
has seen him receive a State Government award for his
services. |

Ken has been
a member of the Committee for over six years and has
held several executive positions. He has a Certificate
IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. |

Kathleen
Cameron - Secretary |

Kathy was
previously a founding member of the Toolangi
Neighbourhood House and now she facilitates our
Beginners Tennis group and occasional workshops - all as
a volunteer.
Kathy would like to encourage other people to join the
Committee of Management, “to see first-hand what a
dynamic organisation the Healesville Living and Learning
Centre is”. |

Kathy has
been a committee member for over four years. This is her
first year as Secretary. |

Kevin Morcombe - Public Officer
and Treasurer |

Kevin is a
retired Primary School Principal with over five years of
service on the Committee of Management. In addition to
giving his time on the Committee, Kevin volunteers his
assistance to maintain the Centre gardens and to support
the Op-Shop with transportation. |

Sharolyn Devitt -
Ordinary Member |
| |
Sharolyn
began her association with the Centre as a horticulture
student and then volunteered to maintain the garden.
This role saw her supervising other volunteers. She has
taken advantage of the many professional development
opportunities that the Centre offers it’s Committee
members, and has completed a Certificate II in Retail
Supervision. |

Sharolyn has
served on the Committee of Management for fourteen
years, many of those as Secretary. She has also managed
the East End Opportunity Shop for the last seven years. |

Jane Jones - Ordinary Member |

Jane Jones
came “home” seven years ago and settled in Healesville.
After having been a translator, English teacher and
editor in The Netherlands, she became involved in retail
and loves it. Her induction into the Committee of
Management of the Healesville Living and Learning Centre
provided her with an opportunity to give a little back
to a community in which she is very happy. |

Jane has been
a member of the Committee of Management for eighteen
months. |

Denise Casey - Ordinary Member
|
|
Denise has
many years experience serving on community Committee’s
of Management in the City of Manningham. She came to
Healesville in 1998 to open a B&B, worked with the
Tourism Association Committee for seven years and in
1999 joined the patchwork and quilting group at
Healesville Living and Learning Centre.

|
Denise was
invited to join the Committee in October 2009 and is
enjoying learning about Living and Learning Centres and
how they contribute to their communities. |

Marjie Endacott - Ordinary Member
|
|
Marjie was a
qualified ladies hairdresser, and later, a floor lady in
the clothing manufacturing industry before she came to
the Living and Learning Centre twenty years ago. She
became the volunteer leader of the Fitness Walking
Group, and she continues to run the group to this day.
Marjie estimates having led her walkers over a distance
approaching ten thousand kilometres since the group
started. In 2002 she was made a Life Member of the
Centre, and in 2009 she joined the Committee of
Management. |

Marjie is
married with two children and five grandchildren. |
